As estufas em forma de lagarta, do inglês Caterpillar Tunnel, são muito resistentes ao vento e às tempestades, com arcos redondos, sendo o metal utilizado ferro galvanizado muito resistente (diâmetro exterior 3,5cm e espessura 1,5mm). 

A instalação da estufa não tem de ser permanente, isto é, estes túneis não necessitam de fundação em cimento ou outra fixação definitiva e têm a vantagem de se poderem desmontar e montar noutro local facilmente.
Não exige mão de obra especializada e apenas a montagem da cobertura de plástico, dependendo do peso, necessita de mais do que uma pessoa para fazê-lo.

Todos os materiais para a montagem da estufa estão incluídos:
- tubos metálicos
- plástico para a cobertura e aberturas
- pecas para fixação ao solo
- parafusos e outros para a montagem
- estrutura para portas "scissor doors" 
- corda para fixação do plástico 
- manual para montagem em pdf

The Caterpillar Tunnels are very resistant to the wind and storms, with rounded bows, the metal is a galvanized steel of 3,5cm diameter and 1,5mm thick.   
The assembly of both the tunnels doesn't have to be permanent, it does not require a cement foundation ou another definitive fixation and it has the advantage of being mobile. You can take it apart and easily assemble it somewhere else. It does not require specialized labour, and only the plastic needs more than one person, depending on the weight. 

All the materials are included:
- metal tubes
- plastic to cover top and the openings
- fixation to the soil
- screws and others for the assembly
- materials for scissor doors
- rope for the fixation of the plastic
- instruction manual (pdf)
(not included: tarp anti-weeds to put on the sides of the greenhouse along the length - optional)

What are the measures of the caterpillar tunnels?
We've created three standard sizes: 10, 20 or 30 meters long, 2,75 m high and 4,50 m wide. These are the ideal measures for 4 growing beds of 75 cm each.
How are the openings (endings)?
If you order our caterpillar tunnels, scissor doors are included.
And how about the sides, can they open?
Both sides from the tunnel are possible to open, just pulling up the plastic, and it's easy to open and close. They can also be used as main entrances for the tunnel.
Are they resistent to storms?
These tunnels have high resistance to heavy wind and storms, because of its shape, the tunnel "moves" as a caterpillar (not leaving its plave thought!) and not breaking.
How does the assembly works? Is it needed to have an expert?
These caterpillar tunnels are easy and quick to assemble. They dont require expert labour, and its quite simple to assemble by two people. it doesn't require permanent structures (no need for cement). The tunnel includes all the necesary materials, it comes ready to assemble, and with an instruction manual (PDF). If you need extra help, you can require our assembly services.
What is the size/ thickness of the metal tubes?
The diameter of the tubes are 35 mm and the thickness is 1,5 mm.
What about the transport?
The caterpillar tunnel comes on a pallet, packed and the transport is assured by a transport company. We will keep you posted until you receive it.
